Taiwan Formosa Oolong Tea

Semi-fermented tea

Product code: 5000400

Camellia sinensis

This leaf with many shades of green and brown is produced only in the highlands of Taiwan.

What distinguishes oolong tea from green and black tea is the fact that it is a semi-fermented tea, which is why it is said to be "between" black (fully fermented) and green (not fermented at all). Stopping the fermentation process at a precise moment results in only the edges of the leaves being fermented, while the center of the leaf remains green. Like green and black tea, it also contains caffeine.

Experienced masters capable of producing this kind of fermented leaf reward us with the best quality. Our oolong tea is thicker and has a more finely processed leaf than standard oolong.

The solution is bronze in color, and the character of mild black tea gives a pleasant sweetness.
